Laura Adams is Director of Membership Services at Directors UK, and oversees the events and career development offered by the organisation, whilst attempting to write short stories in her spare time. For over nine years, Laura worked as a film and events programmer at the British Film Institute, where she regularly hosted on-stage interviews with filmmakers, something she continues to do on a freelance basis. Laura holds a BA in Drama and Film and a Film and Communications MA from Queen Mary, University of London. Previously on the board of Birds Eye View, Laura continues to write for the website and support the charity’s activities, and is on the advisory panel for the London Comedy Film Festival. Laura specialises in films written by, directed by, and starring women, as well as British film, science fiction and fantasy films, and films focused on movement of the body, in dance, sport, etc.
