Girls On Film is a female-centric film collective aimed at starting socially aware conversations through the prism of film and other art. They believe that inequality is both grossly violent and unbearably boring, and with that in mind, programme events, write reviews, conduct interviews and cover international film festivals.
Launched in 2014, they are an ever-expanding network of women trying to carve out a space for themselves and others through mutual support, not conflict. Their core aim is to spark awareness and intrigue around issues that traditionally have no place in over-arching social structures, bringing people together and encouraging curiosity in one another.
